Simi Valley resident arrested after stabbing boyfriend

On today’s date at approximately 1330 hours, the Simi Valley Police Department responded to a report of a Domestic Violence situation in the 1400 block of Roan Street. The victim, a Simi Valley resident, advised responding officers his girlfriend had stabbed him during an argument and then fled the area.


A short time later the suspect, Kaitlyn Byrum (24 y/o Simi Valley resident) was located and taken into custody without incident. Byrum was later booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for 273.5 PC- Domestic Violence and 245 PC- Assault with a Deadly Weapon.


The Ventura County Main Jail is authorized to release Byrum’s phot according to their protocol.
