Simi Valley | Stolen Vehicle pursuit ends in arrest

Simi Valley Police Department – Incident Press Release

On the afternoon of September 10th, at approximately 3:10pm, a Simi Valley Police Officer was on duty and alerted by his vehicle’s Lojack tracking unit that a recently stolen vehicle was in his area. While checking the neighborhood of Brower Street he observed the vehicle, a silver Acura TL attempting to leave the location. A traffic stop was attempted, however, the vehicle accelerated in reverse and twice rammed the officer’s vehicle before fleeing. A pursuit was initiated and the vehicle later became disabled in the parking lot of 1109 First Street. The juvenile driver was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Vehicle Theft and Felony Evading. He was later booked into Ventura County Juvenile Hall on the above listed charges.

The Simi Valley Police Department would like to thank the community for their patience as normal afternoon traffic was disrupted by this event.
