    Simi Valley | Suspect arrested for Brandishing Knife

    On November 4, 2020, at approximately 5:00 PM, SVPD Officers responded to the Simi Valley Town Center, 1555 Simi Town Center Way, for a female walking around the parking lot with a knife. Upon arrival, the reporting party indicated that a female suspect was hitting vehicles in the parking lot with her hands. The suspect then confronted the victim and brandished a kitchen knife. The victim immediately drove away and called the police.

    SVPD units searched the area and subsequently detained the suspect without further incident. The female suspect appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and was identified as Amanda Mendoza 19 yrs. old from Simi Valley. The suspect had an outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrant and was arrested and booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for brandishing a knife and her warrant.
