Simi Valley | Suspect on Probation arrested – Allegedly in possession of Meth

On 2/22/19 at approximately 1:17 AM, a patrol officer from the Simi Valley Police Department noticed a suspicious subject rummaging through a vehicle next to the Shell Gas Station located near Yosemite Ave. and SR 118. The subject was contacted and identified as Cody Sanford (10-8-98). Sanford stated the vehicle belonged to a friend of his who let him borrow it. During the contact, Sanford admitted to having a pipe used to smoke methamphetamine and the subsequent investigation revealed that he was on probation. During a search of the vehicle a significant quantity of Methamphetamine, Heroin and Marijuana was recovered. A loaded 9mm pistol was also found to be concealed on his person. Sanford was placed under arrest and subsequently booked for, “Possession of narcotics for sale”, “Possession of Narcotics while in possession of a firearm” and “Possession of a concealed firearm”.
