Simi Valley Police Department – Incident Press Release

On Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at approximately 6:30 PM, a Simi Valley Police Officer observed a vehicle being driven by a suspect that had outstanding arrest warrants.  The officer initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle eventually pulled into the parking lot of the Jack in the Box on the 1500 block of Los Angeles Ave.  As the vehicle yielded to the officer, the passenger fled into the Jack in the Box and barricaded himself in the restroom.  The officer immediately recognized the passenger as a Post Release Offender (PROS) and knew he was wanted for a PROS violation.  The driver was subsequently taken into custody for his outstanding arrest warrants.

As additional officers arrived on scene, the business was evacuated and the passenger was ordered numerous times to come out of the restroom and failed to comply with the officers’ orders.  After approximately fifteen minutes, the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody.  Upon a search of the restroom, the officers located a firearm and narcotics belonging to the suspect.

The driver was identified as Roger Curiel, 22 yrs. old from Simi Valley and was arrested for two outstanding felony arrest warrants.  The passenger was identified as Noe Perez-Sinaloa, 22 yrs. old from Simi Valley and was arrested for a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of narcotics, PROS violation, and participating in a gang enhancement.
