Simi Valley | Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Leaders (Explorer Recruitment)

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Simi Valley Police Explorer Post or know someone who would benefit from this unique personal development opportunity, the Simi Valley Police Explorers are accepting new membership applications. 

Anyone interested in joining the program is invited to attend one of the upcoming Explorer Post meetings. The Explorer Post meets on two Monday nights each month at the Simi Valley Police Station. General information regarding the Explorer Post, activities, and application requirements will be discussed at the Post meetings. 

Minimum Requirements to Join the Explorer Post: 

14 to 20 Years of Age 
Completed the 8th Grade 
Maintain 2.0 GPA & No “F’s” on Recent Report Card 
Pass a Background Investigation 

Explorer Post Activities: Patrol Ride-Alongs, Law Enforcement, Training, Special Event Participation, Community Service, Traffic Control, Post Meetings, State and National Skills Competitions, Yearly Educational Trip Opportunities, and More…. 

Upcoming Recruitment Night: 
Monday, June 10th 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Simi Valley Police Department 
Emergency Operations Center (EOC) 
3901 Alamo Street, Simi Valley, CA 
*The EOC entrance is inside the police station lobby. 

Please dress in business casual attire (no jeans, shorts, or t-shirts).
