UPDATED: It is with regret that we have been informed the victim from this accident has succumbed to her injuries at a local trauma center. The Simi Valley Police Department continues to investigate the accident and asks that community members please keep her family in your thoughts.
On the afternoon of 07/19/20, officers responded to a major injury accident in the 1500 block of Elvado Dr. Upon their arrival, they found a 39 year old female in the roadway with significant lower body injuries. Subsequent investigation revealed the woman had been run over by her own car, possibly while attempting to start it. She was transported to a local trauma center for treatment. SVPD Traffic Unit handling the investigation.
