    Simi Valley, Calif.-The Simi Valley Family YMCA’s state licensed preschool is accepting enrollment applications for children ages 2 1/2 to 5 for its preschool program at Justin Early Learners Academy (2245 N. Justin Ave.) in Simi Valley. An open house tour of the school will be offered by appointment on Friday, January 17th between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 21 between10:00 a.m. and noon and Friday, January 31 between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. During the open house tour parents will have the opportunity to meet the staff, tour the facility, and pick up enrollment packets.

    “Simi Valley YMCA Preschool is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing and enriching environment in which children can grow in mind, body and spirit,” says Jennifer Guarino, childcare program director at the Simi Y. “Our goal is to provide affordable, convenient and dependable child care services. We strive to balance our environment and curriculum to meet the physical, social, emotional and cognitive developmental needs of each child, while responding to the individual needs of our families.” Full and part time, full day and half-day openings are available. Preschool hours are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The preschool has a 1 to 12 staff/children ratio and all staff members are CPR and first aid trained. The program incorporates state-approved teaching strategies, offers a structured environment and curriculum with engaging activities including circle time, math, language arts, gross and fine motor skills development, art, music and social growth. Financial assistance is available to qualifying families. Children must be potty-trained.
