Simi Valley Police Department – Incident Press Release

During the early morning hours of August 22nd, a Simi Valley Police Department Officer was patrolling his area when he observed a vehicle driving with an inoperable license plate light. The Officer conducted an enforcement stop for the seemingly minor vehicle code violation. The driver was unable to provide valid identification and upon further investigation it was discovered the vehicle was an unreported stolen vehicle from Simi Valley.

The driver and sole occupant, a 28 year old Los Angeles County resident, was arrested and booked at Ventura County Main Jail for driving a stolen vehicle. The vehicle and it’s owner, who thought the vehicle was safe at home at the time, were reunited.
