    Soroptimist to hold 17th Annual Margarita Mixoff ™

    For those who like the Conejo Valley’s best Margaritas, great food, and a fun evening under the stars, the Annual Margarita Mixoff ™ presented by Soroptimist International of the Conejo is just the thing to extend the Cinco De Mayo Celebration or start off your weekend a little early!

    Date:  Thursday, May 10, 2018

    Place:   Los Robles Greens

    Time:  5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

    Cost:  $40 in advance or $45 at the door – tickets can be purchased on line at SICONEJO.ORG

    Some of the Conejo Valley’s finest restaurants from Calabasas, Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, Westlake Village, Newbury Park and Simi Valley will compete for the individual awards judged in blind-tastings by professionals in their respective fields for the  “Best In The West Margarita”, “People’s Choice”, and” Best Hors D’ Oeuvres”.

    The competing restaurants go all out for this popular event so come prepared to enjoy the appetizers, Margarita tasting, and festive music.  Non- alcoholic beverages will also be available. Attendance is limited to those 21 years of age and older. A fabulous array of raffles and silent auction items are guaranteed to strike your fancy and will be up for bid.

    Soroptimist International of the Conejo is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization that raises funds to help provide services for women and girls in the Conejo Valley and around the world.  The Soroptimist mission is:  “improving the lives of women and girls in the local community and throughout the world enabling them to take control of their lives and live their dreams.”

    Proceeds from the fund raiser go to assist local charities, such as RAIN Project Transitional Living Center, Safe Passage Transitional Home (for victims of domestic violence), Hospice of the Conejo, Mary Magdalene Project, Tanzania Nursing Scholarship Program, Villa Esperanza Services (Independent living skills), Manna Food Bank, Conejo Free Clinic, among others.

    Cash grant are also awarded to women who face adversity and are improving their lives by attending school with plans to re-enter the work place.
