Stabbing at the Promenade in Ventura–victim in critical condition

illness times; font-size: 16px;”>Just past midnight this morning, June 15th the Ventura Police Department Command Center received a 911 call from a citizen reporting a stabbing on the Promenade.  The witness observed the suspect and victim involved in an altercation.  The suspect armed himself with a knife during the fight and stabbed the victim.  The suspect was last seen fleeing the scene in an unknown direction. 

The victim’s injuries were life threatening and he was rushed to the Ventura County Medical Center for treatment. 

The Promenade and surrounding neighborhoods were canvassed and detectives responded to the scene.   The investigation into this incident is ongoing. Anyone with information related to this incident is urged to call the Ventura Police Department at 339-4309
