STOP THE CAR TAX – Newman recall submits over 85,000 signatures

Orange County taxpayers have submitted more than 85,000 signatures to recall Josh Newman – the Assemblyman who cast the deciding vote in favor of $5 billion in new gas and car taxes on California motorists.

Passing the 85,000 mark is a critical milestone that takes us over the required number of signatures to put the Newman recall on the ballot.

Unfortunately, tax-raisers and special interests are responding with an unprecedented “rescission” campaign. They are demanding each signer be called in a desperate attempt to get them to take back their signature.

To neutralize their efforts, we will need to keep collecting as many signatures as possible before time runs out.

That’s why I’m writing to you now to ask you to give a donation to support our fight to recall Newman and roll back tax-raisers supermajority power.

Newman represents the 29th Senate District, which includes the cities of Anaheim, Brea, Buena Park, Chino Hills, City of Industry, Cypress, Diamond Bar, Fullerton, La Habra, La Palma, Placentia, Rowland Heights, Stanton, Walnut, West Covina, and Yorba Linda.

If you have not yet signed the petition and live in one of the above cities, you also can help by signing the petition.
