An officer arrived on scene and contacted a male matching the description of the suspect just outside of Kohl’s, 2950 Tapo Canyon Road. The original victim of the battery positively identified the suspect as Omar Avalos, 29 years, of Simi Valley. 

The victim reported that as she was grocery shopping Avalos went out of his way to touch her body in an inappropriate manner and when she confronted him, Avalos left the store. The victim went into the adjacent Kohls store to continue shopping. While in Kohls she observed Avalos apparently touch two other young females inappropriately, which was corroborated by another witness. However, these victims left the area prior to our officer’s arrival and could not be located. 

Avalos was arrested for violation of 243.4 (e)(1) Sexual Battery and booked at the East Valley Jail.
