Survey finds many parents know nothing about new Common Core tests

EditorialBy Stephen Frank

Sadly, nurse most parents send their children to government schools and have no idea what is being taught, how it is being done or what type of on going “re-education” camp” called government schools holding their children hostage. Most California government schools have given up tested and provable standardized testing for Common Core standards—untested, not proved to have any value. In other words our children are learning based on ideology of dumbing down education instead of providing quality education. Government schools are being used for politics, not to help our children.

“According to the nonpartisan research group Public Policy Institute of California, 55 percent of public school parents surveyed say they have not heard at all about the new tests that public schools are giving students grade 3 to 8 and grade 11 starting this spring.

Another 36 percent say they have heard a little about the tests and only 8 percent say they have heard a lot about the exams.”

Parents have given up their children to government, instead of being partners with teachers to give their children the education they need. Parents need to take their power back from government—do it for the children.
