Susan Shelley will run for State Assembly District 45 again

Susan Shelley will run for Assembly again in her heavily Democrat district just East of Ventura County in LA County, in the San Fernando Valley. In a special election late last year, she lost by only 329 votes. She  was not expected to win in this heavily democratic district, where Republican registration is only 25%. Proposition 13 repeal is a big issue in this middle class district.  She also showed very good presence in debates.  Special elections have very small turnouts and tend to be heavily influenced by highly motivated voters. The question is, will she be able to duplicate or increase this feat in the general election, which will likely have a much larger turnout? Also, fundraising will likely play a bigger role next time.
