    Suspect arrested for robbery of Santa Paula Circle K

    On Wednesday 6/03/2020 at approximately 2:22 PM, Santa Paula Police Dispatch Center received a call of a theft in progress at the Circle K located at 765 W Harvard Blvd. When patrol officers responded it was learned that a robbery had taken places, with numerous items taken from the business. Patrol Officers were able to quickly identify the suspect as Lissa Mata age 53 of Santa Paula. Mata fled the location prior to officer’s arrival.

    Patrol Officers were able to identify the vehicle Mata was seen leaving the area in as well as a male subject who was driving the vehicle. SPPD detectives responded to assist. A short time later a patrol unit was able to locate Mata at Teague Park where she was taken into custody without incident.

    The suspect vehicle was located a short time later by Detectives in the 100 block of E Ventura St. The male subject was located and arrested without incident. During the investigation it was determined that the male subject had provided Mata with a ride to the store but was not involved in the robbery and was released without charges.

    Mata was transported to the Ventura County Main Jail for 211 PC; Robbery. Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to contact Detective Dan Potter and (805) 525-4474 x287 or [email protected]
