Ventura County Sheriff – Incident Press Release
On 1/13/2021, at about 1:15 a.m., a Sheriff’s Deputy patrolling the unincorporated community of Oak View arrested a suspect wanted for several commercial burglaries at a local nursery.
During the month of December 2020, Green’s Nursery, located in the 200 block of Bundren Street in Oak View, was burglarized on two separate occasions. During the month of January 2021, two additional burglaries were reported at the business an
d it was believed the same suspect was involved in all four incidents.
Following a thorough investigation, Ojai Detectives were able to identify the suspect as Oak View resident Steven Russo.
Russo was at a local business when a deputy driving by observed him and placed him under arrest. Russo was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for commercial burglary. His bail is currently set at $35,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court today, 1/15/2021.
