Suspect caught busting into Ventura CVS

Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release

On Ventura Police Patrol officers responded to a report of a subject trying to break into the CVS Store in the 1700 block of South Victoria Avenue by kicking the front door and throwing rocks at it. When officers arrived, they found the business was closed, but the front glass door had been smashed. Officers observed a subject, later identified as Isaiah Coleman DOB: 04/02/2002 (Oxnard Resident), inside of the business. Officers ordered Coleman out of the business and he initially complied but then fled from officers after exiting the business. Coleman was then taken into custody by officers and found to be in possession of stolen items from the store.

Coleman was arrested and booked at Ventura County Jail for commercial burglary and delaying a peace officer. The recovered stolen property was returned to the store. No one was injured as a result of this incident.
