On July 17, 2020, Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Street Team concluded a narcotics sales investigation involving Christopher Jimenez of Oxnard, who was involved in the sales of heroin in Ventura County.
In July 2020, detectives identified Jimenez as a subject involved in the sales of heroin to residents throughout Ventura County. Detectives began an investigation into Jimenez and his illegal activities. On July 17, 2020, detectives conducted surveillance and contacted Jimenez during a traffic enforcement stop in the 900 Block of Westlake Boulevard in Thousand Oaks. Detectives established probable cause to arrest Jimenez and searched his vehicle. During a search of his vehicle, detectives found more than one pound of heroin and money believed to be narcotic sale proceeds.
Based on the investigation, Jimenez was arrested for possession for sales of heroin and booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility.
Heroin is a contributor to both fatal and non-fatal overdoses taking place in Ventura County. The narcotics street team is committed to aggressively target narcotics sales and help combat opiate overdoses in Ventura County.
