Tattoo removal/fresh start- FREE!
If you know of a gang member or other person who is trying to set straight their life and who needs to remove gang or other tattoos so that they can begin to remove some of the barriers to mainstreaming into society, the next Oxnard Tattoo Removal Clinic will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. – noon. (Clinics are usually held on the third Saturday of each month.) Services are free and no appointments is
necessary, but due to overwhelming response, space is limited and patients are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Orientation for first time participants will be at 9:00 a.m. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The tattoo clinic will be at Las Islas Women’s Clinic, 2400 South C St. (at C St. & Coach “C” Lane.) The clinic not only welcomes participants, but volunteers to assist with the clinic. For more information, clients may contact Las Islas Family Medical Group at (805) 204-9500.
(These clinics are made possible by the collaborative efforts of: 3rd District Ventura County Supervisor Kathy Long, Ventura County Health Care Agency, Ventura County Public Health, Ventura County Probation Agency, Oxnard Police Department, Las Islas Family Medical Group, Interface Children Family Services, the Oxnard Alliance for Community Strength, and CalWORKS. Acquisition of the laser machine was made possible through Oxnard’s “Operation PeaceWorks” (OPW) gang intervention program with funding from a California Gang Reduction, Intervention, Prevention (CalGRIP) program grant.)
