Oxnard Auto Center Association donates $10,000 for Emergency Depart. Expansion at St. John’s Regional Medical Center

The St. John’s Healthcare Foundation at St. John’s Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) recently received a $10,000 donation from the Oxnard Auto Center Association (OACA). The funds will support the much needed remodel and expansion of the Emergency Department at the hospital.

The Emergency Department expansion and renovation project will allow the only hospital in Oxnard to provide more efficient patient flow, rapid triage and turnaround time, shorter patient waiting times, larger staff work areas, and increased supply and equipment storage.

“We are forever grateful to the Oxnard Auto Center for this generous gift and for their continued commitment to St. John’s Regional Medical Center,” said Debi Klein, vice president of philanthropy for the St. John’s Healthcare Foundation. “This donation will have a profound impact on the patients our emergency department serves every day.”

A check was presented to the St. John’s Healthcare Foundation by OACA representatives on Tuesday, December 8. Auto Center representatives also toured the current ER and were also given a brief overview of how their donation will positively impact SJRMC patients and staff.

“The Oxnard Auto Center dealers and employees have a great respect for all of the staff at the hospital, but we are especially proud to support the outstanding emergency room team here at St. John’s,” said George Yazbek, Oxnard Auto Center board member. “We have seen first-hand how our efforts are able to make both an immediate and lasting contribution to the hospital and local residents. They do such important work here and we are thankful to have a world class hospital like St. John’s in our community.”
