A few years ago, I wrote an article about Hunter Biden and his dubious dealings in Ukraine. It was during the time when the Democrats hounded Donald Trump about the “Russia Connection.” Little did they know then that they had stirred a hornet’s nest for the Ex-Vice President.
I wrote about Hunter’s enormous salary for sitting on the board of Burisma, his lack of qualifications for such a job, and, that felonious, fraudulent Burisma was investigated by the attorney general who had been elected to end corruption in Ukraine. I also mentioned, that our Ex-Vice President had blackmailed the president of Ukraine, to recall the investigating judge, holding millions of dollars over the Ukrainian President’s head. Investigating Burisma would have exposed Hunter Biden’s illegitimate position. Of course, he succeeded with his unscrupulous tactic, which he then proudly bruited about. The press, and the media, at that time ignored and suppressed all knowledge of what was widely known.
Well, with Biden’s ascendance as the Democrat party’s nominee for the presidency, finally an expose` appeared in the New York Post that blew the lid of the boiling pot. There was much more to report. Unethical dealings in China, where also millions of dollars flowed to Hunter, who kindly split all that wealth with his father, whose name and position, after all, got him the loot. There is more, much more, one cannot begin to do the Biden corruption justice. Of course, Joe Biden, when cornered and asked about the stink, did not deny it, no he just blew it off. However, there now is Hunter’s laptop with a lot of damaging facts. Also, an associate of the Biden’s in their China deals, told assembled press that he had warned Hunter about his deals with the Chinese. But that is only the beginning of what is to come. This, however, is only one part of my story, for we clearly see now the media covering for Democrat corruption and misdeeds. In Biden’s case the cover is even more shocking, for the man has shown clear signs of dementia, is unable to complete sentences when unscripted and without prompter. The media ignores the evidence of incompetency, for they know he will not be governing anyway. That will be done by his handlers who were unelectable.
Perusing the Wall Street Journal, of October 27, 2020, I came upon an opinion piece by Gerard Baker that speaks to the unconscientious, unprincipled way the media handles anything unfavorable, concerning the left. The headline is telling.
Media Watchdogs Are Not Supposed to Guard Biden.
That headline is later followed by the even stronger statement: If Democrats win, will America’s free press become the instrument of state propaganda? Who can doubt that very likely possibility? Those of us who came to America from socialist and communist countries, have opined for a long time, perhaps for twenty years, that the press and the media reminds us of the government run publications in our old countries. Until the internet became a media, most things the left did not want us to know, were just not reported or buried in the political muck. Gerard Baker’s well composed paper documents that the press is not free anymore but has become a tool of socialist Democrats. He shows in his article the many ways in which the dishonorable press hides, launders and outright lies for the Ex-Vice President. He states: “In the long and dishonorable annals of journalistic out, there have been few statements to compete with the one issued by National Public Radio last week; why it would not not burden its listeners with any news about Hunter Biden.” He stated this, because Terence Samuels, the network’s managing editor for NPR News, made the following incredibly demeaning statement, a down-putting of everyone listening to NPR. (By the way, it should be renamed NDB, National Democrat Broadcast.) Yes, Samuels said, “We do not waste our time on stories that are not really stories, and we don’t want to waste our listener’s and reader’s time on stories that are just pure distraction.” Distraction? A national corruption case?
Well, well, well! With this disgusting bit of lie and conceit Samuels covers up the story in the New York Post. What gall to decide for the poor adherents of NPR what they are entitled to hear and read. The listeners of NPR are not allowed to sully their innocent brains with a national scandal of the man they probably will vote for. Well, there you have it. Nothing explains to us better how the press and media treats, and fabricates, the news than this little story.
I strongly recommend that you read Gerard Baker’s entire article, besides well researched and written, his dry, ironic bits sprinkled about are delightful.
