Giving Back’ is the theme for Local PODS Moving & Storage anniversary
In honor of their 15-year anniversary, local PODS® Moving & Storage is doing their part to give back to a different charity in the community each month. This June, transitional housing organization, The City Center is the special recipient of a $1500 donation from PODS.
The City Center provides a transitional living center for homeless individuals and families, equipping them to rebuild their lives for self-sufficiency. Their vision and goals aim to assist the homeless population of Ventura County through transition and restoration, to a status of contributing to society by embracing the model of loving our neighbor as ourselves.
“The chance to watch families literally turn their lives around and head in a new direction speaks volumes as to the impact that the City Center is having on our community and to individual lives,” says Steve Yapp, owner of Local PODS moving & storage. “We are honored to have the opportunity to support City Center’s incredible efforts.”
In addition, the City Center will be featured on the local PODS Facebook page to its over 5,000 followers and will donate $1 to the City Center for every new ‘like’ they receive on the PODS local Facebook page.
