Saturday, March 25 (Day 65):

Ex-President Returns to Community Organizing to Secure Legacy

As President Donald Trump  plans to  move forward  with his campaign promises and dismantle the presidential legacy of Barack Obama—the former president is returning to his Saul Alinsky community organizer roots.  Their objective appears to be to block Trump’s domestic and foreign policy agenda on all fronts:  immigration reform, border security, jobs, and healthcare reform and support a strategy for disruption by activism and legal motions targeting Trump and his administration officials.

American Oversight, is the new group developed by former Obama administration officials that is searching for moving this strategy forward.   “We are conducting oversight because Congress won’t,” said Austin Evers, a state department lawyer in the Obama administration.  “We are using tools available to American citizens to investigate instances of fraud, corruption, violation of ethics rules, you name it.  If there is something that Congress should be investigating, we will be.”

The Daily Mail reported earlier this month that Obama’s top adviser, Valerie Jarrett, has moved into Obama’s multi-million dollar rental home in Washington D.C. to “make it the nerve center of the mounting insurgency” effort against President Donald Trump.  “Obama’s goal, according to a close family friend, is to oust Trump from the presidency or through his impeachment.”

Another organization of former Obama top attorneys, United to Protect Democracy, was formed also this month aimed at utilizing legal advocacy to target Trump policies.  This organization is closely aligned with billionaire George Soros .

Meanwhile, Organizing For Action (OFA), Obama’s activist political group from his first presidential campaign, is partnering with the Indivisible Project for online training on how to protest Trump policies as was reported by NBC News in February.  OFA has hired 14 field organizers in states that are home to key senators as part of its campaign to defend Obama’s healthcare law.  This campaign is being led by Saumya Narechania—the former national field director of Enroll America which signed people up for Obamacare and was a former Obama deputy campaign manager.  OFA says that more than 1,800 have applied for its Spring six-week training program, two-thirds who have never been involved with them before.  Some 25,000 people have registered to participate in their video trainings.

Paul Sperry of the New York Post, recently reported that Obama is “intimately involved in OFA and even tweets from the group’s account.  In fact, he even gave marching orders to OFA soldiers, following Trump’s upset victory” when Obama made a November conference call after the elections to so-called grassroots supporters, telling them, “Now is the time for community organizing.”

“In what’s shaping up to be a highly unusual post-presidency, Obama isn’t just staying behind in Washington. He’s working behind the scenes to set up what will effectively be a shadow government to not only protect his threatened legacy, but to sabotage the incoming administration and its popular “America First” agenda. He’s doing it through a network of leftist nonprofits led by Organizing for Action.

Normally you’d expect an organization set up to support a politician and his agenda to close up shop after that candidate leaves office, but not Obama’s OFA. Rather, it’s gearing up for battle, with a growing war chest and more than 250 offices across the country.”, another Soros-funded Obama group, was one of the first to protest the Trump selection of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and sought his resignation.

The Woods Fund, as reported by WND, is a nonprofit that Obama served as a paid board director from 1999 to 2002 along with William Ayers, founder of the Weather Underground terrorist organization, provided capital to the Midwest Academy founder Heather Booth, a dedicated disciple of Saul Alinsky, whose son, David Alinsky, praised Barack Obama at the August 2008 Democratic National Convention for affecting “the Democratic campaign in 2008.  It’s a fine tribute to Saul Alinsky as we approach his 100th birthday.”

President Trump moves forward on approving Canadian oil pipeline

President Trump has given a green light to the Keystone XL pipeline that will transport crude oil from Canada oil-wells to refineries in the United States.

“The Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs has issued a Presidential permit to TransCanada to construct, connect, operate, and maintain pipeline facilities at the U.S. Canadian border in Phillips County, Montana for the importation of crude oil,” a press release issued by the State Department said  Friday.

“The Under Secretary considered a range of factors, including but not limited to foreign policy; energy security; environmental, cultural and economic impacts; and compliance with applicable law and policy.”

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, former CEO at ExxonMobile, recused himself from decisions on the pipeline, so the permit was signed by Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Thomas Shannon.

On Jan. 24, President Trump signed a memorandum inviting TransCanada, the company that owns the pipeline, to reapply to the U.S. State Department for approval of the project which had been put on hold by Barack Obama in 2012 to placate climate change activists.

Keystone XL is a 36-inch-diameter crude oil pipeline system, that will carry up to 830,000 barrels of petroleum per day from the oil sands in Canada to oil refineries and ports on the Gulf Coast of the United States—bringing fossil fuel and jobs to the United States.

According to a State Department January 2014 Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (issued during Barack Obama’s administration, “the greenhouse gas emissions would actually increase without the pipeline if the crude oil from Canada is alternatively transported by rail across the U.S.”

The State Department found that alternative energy would not replace the need for fossil fuel.  “The analysis found that even with renewable energy and conservation, there would still be a demand for oil sands-derived crude oil.”

Anti-Trump Protesters go violent at California Trump rally

A peaceful march to support President Donald Trump, as well as veterans, law enforcement, and first responders, was briefly interrupted by a dozen or so anti-Trump protesters in Huntington Beach, California.

Police arrested four people after they allegedly used pepper spray on the marchers during the peaceful procession attended by about 3,000 on the beach in Orange County.  According to the organizers of the Make America Great Again march, the event was designed to show “we love our country and we want to show gratitude to the men and women who put their own lives on the line every day.” Organizers were collecting donations during the event to benefit homeless veterans.

President Trump signs NASA transition authorization act unto law

“With this legislation, we renew our national commitment to NASA’s mission of exploration and discovery and we continue a tradition that is old as mankind—we look to the heavens with wonder and curiosity” said President Trump.

Trump lauded Congress’s ability to work together to “reaffirm our nation’s commitment to expanding the frontiers of knowledge.” He said one lesson was, “the need to view old questions with fresh eyes, to have the courage to look for answers in places we have never looked before, to think in new ways because we have new information.

“Most of all, new discoveries remind us that in America, anything is possible if we have the courage and wisdom to learn,” the President continued. “I am confident that if Americans can achieve these things, there is no problem we cannot solve, there is no challenge we cannot meet, there is no aim that is too high” said Trump. “We are a nation of problem solvers and the future belongs to us.”

Sunday, March 26 (Day 66):

Freedom Caucus Co-Founder on Obamacare:  ‘Let’s get to work’

“Instead of doing the blame game.  Let’s get to work,” said House Freedom Caucus Co-Founder Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio).   “Let’s do the responsible thing.  Let’s get back to work and do what we told the voters we were going to do.”

Much of the blame, for the failed Ryan-Pence healthcare bill that would have replaced or repealed Obamacare was aimed at the conservative Freedom Caucus and its 35 members.

Rep. Ted Poe (R-TX)  resigned from the House Freedom Caucus on Sunday and ripped his former colleagues and questioned if there was anything that they would support.  “I got the opinion that that there’s some members of the Freedom Caucus, they would vote ‘no’ against the Ten Commandments if they came up for a vote.

“So, I think it’s time that the Freedom Caucus worked together with other members of the Republican Party, have input, which we did with the speaker, the President of the Untied States, and then at the end of the day, compromise to get something done.  Now we have Obamacare.  We promised for years we’re going to repeal Obamacare.  We voted 60 times to repeal Obamacare.  Then when it came down to repealing it, where it actually counted, people just said, ‘I’m not going to vote to repeal the bill.’”

Trump on Friday put blame on the Democrats for not supporting the bill and on Saturday, took to Twittter to promise a great healthcare plan—eventually.   “Obamacare will explode and we will all get together a great healthcare plan for the people.  Do not worry.” Trump tweeted Sunday morning that the House Freedom Caucus, along with the Club for Growth and Heritage Acton for America “saved” Planned Parenthood and Obamacare, implying that their refusal to vote had helped perpetuate the healthcare policy they promised to dismantle.  White House chief of staff Reince Priebus said, “The President is not closing the door on anything” on healthcare.   He added that the administration would be open to proposals from the other side of the aisle, noting “Democrats can come to the table as well.”

Ohio Gov. John Kasich said it would be “pathetic” if Democrats and Republicans can’t work together to pass major legislation such as healthcare policy.”  Meanwhile, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) might now revive the “single-payer” option for national health care—a government-run system.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the Trump White House is fed up with the many factions in the House GOP conference and says that he may increase his outreach to Democrats if he can’t get the support of hard-line conservatives.

Billy Bova (D-MS), a leading Trumpocrat (Democrat who crossed over to support Trump for president) is publicly calling for House Speaker Paul Ryan to resign his position as House Speaker.   Ryan “dropped the ball.  He tried to do Obamacare Lite so as to not step on the toes of the big insurance companies and the status quo and the Big Pharma companies and all that stuff.  I don’t know they could possibly trust him to try and give us a more fair and equitable and competitive repeal to Obamacare.  I just don’t know how he can be trusted to do that and to lead.”

GOP leadership and the White House spent weeks trying to bring skeptical Republicans on board with their healthcare plan.  Conservatives argued the bill didn’t go far enough and moderate lawmakers worried about a backlash in their districts from those who came to rely on the program.

New White House office to fix “government stagnation”

Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, will lead a new White House office to fix “government stagnation” and stimulate American Innovation.  The White House office will be filled by former business executives and seek to bring new thinking to Washington.  Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, married to Kushner, will get involved in workforce development as a non-paid government employee.

Mexico City archdiocese publishes Anti-Trump editorial

The unsigned editorial titled “Treason to the Homeland” condemned all companies and individuals who would work on Donald Trump’s border wall, calling them “immoral” and “traitors to their country.”  The articles states that in recent days, more than 500 Mexican companies have expressed interest in contracts to participate in the construction of the border wall.

Under Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony.  In Article 118, the General Law on Population states that foreigners entering the country without the required documentation will be fined the equivalent of 20 to 100 days of minimum salary and that  foreigners without legal documentation will be deported from the country.

Monday, March 27 (Day 67):

Attorney General:  “Sanctuary cities risk losing federal dollars”

Attorney General Jeff Sessions at a White House press briefing said that the Department of Justice would require jurisdictions that are seeking or applying for Department of Justice grants to certify compliance with 8 U.S.C. 1373 as a condition of receiving federal funding.

Sessions said, “According to a recent poll, 80 percent of Americans believe that cities that make arrests—that arrest illegal immigrants for crimes should be required to turn them out to immigration authorities.

“For example, the Department of Homeland Security recently issued a report showing that in a single week, there were more than 200 instances of jurisdictions refusing to honor Immigration Customs Enforcement detainer requests with respect to individuals charged or convicted of a serious crimes.

“I strongly urge our nation’s states and cities and counties to consider carefully the harm they are doing to their citizens by refusing to enforce immigration laws.  Such policies make their cities and states less safe.   Public safety as well as national security are at stake and put them at risk of losing federal dollars.”

President calls for Congressional probe of Clintons and Russia

“Why isn’t the House Intelligence Committee looking into the Bill & Hillary deal that allowed big Uranium to go to Russia,” read Trump’s first tweet, which was followed by, “…money to Bill, the Hillary Russian “reset,” praise of Russia by Hillary, or Podesta Russian Company. Trump Russia story is a hoax. #MAGA!”

Trump’s assertion that then-Secretary of State Clinton “allowed big Uranium to go to Russia” and Bill Clinton’s high-dollar “Russian speech” were allegations first reported by The New York Times (NYT) and based on research from the NYT bestseller Clinton Cashauthored by Breitbart News Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer. The facts found in Clinton Cash, reported by the NYT, and deemed accurate by establishment media reveal how Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State coincided with the influx of tens of millions of dollars from foreign sources into the Clinton Foundation which resulted in favorable actions for Russia’s government.

The Clinton Foundation received millions in donations from several investors in Uranium One, a Canadian-based company in which a majority stake was sold to Russia’s nuclear energy agency, Rosatom, in a lucrative deal needing approval from Clinton’s State Department and eight other federal agencies.

“The sale gave the Russians control of one-fifth of all uranium production capacity in the United States,” The New York Times confirmed. The “deal,” as Trump points out, refers to how donations to the Clinton Foundation from executives of Russian-owned Uranium One had exceeded $145 million, according to the New York TimesIn fact, those Clinton Foundation donations from uranium investors spiked just as the deal for Russia’s Rosatom to secure Uranium One was being finalized.”

Tuesday, March 28 (Day 68):

President wipes out Barack Obama’s climate-change policies

President Trump has signed an executive order that will start rolling back the Obama-era Clean Power Plan as Environmental Protection Agency Secretary Scott Pruitt begins to restore the EPA to primarily an enforcement role.  The executive order will order a review of the Clean Power Plan and reverse orders on climate change and carbon emissions regulations.

Trump’s proposed budget for the EPA threatens to slash the department’s funding by 31 percent.   Under the Obama administration, Pruitt said that the oil, coal and natural gas industries were under federal “regulatory assault” which killed energy jobs across the country.  The EPA exists to “enforce the law, not make the law.”  As the Attorney General of Oklahoma, Pruitt led he legal charge against the EPA, arguing that the agency was overstepping it’s authority.   He sued the agency 13 times.

“Our administration is putting an end to the war on coal,” President Trump said as he was accompanied by more than a dozen coal miners.  “We’re ending the theft of American prosperity, and rebuilding our beloved country.”  U.S. coal jobs, which number about 75,000 have been declining for decades.

U.S. auto manufacturers invest in U.S. factories; companies creating jobs

Ford Motor Company has announced new investments in three plants in Michigan.  The news of U.S. expansion comes only two months after the company announced it was investing up to $700 million in its Michigan facilities.

In February, Ford CEO Mark Fields said his company’s decision to create jobs in America rather than in Mexico is a “vote of confidence” in Trump’s incoming administration and he pro-business environment that has been created.

Also, in January, General Motors announced plans to re-invest in factories in the United States adding some 1,500 jobs to its labor force.  The plans include a one-billion dollar plan to build new manufacturing lines in America.

Other companies that have announced major expansion:  45,000 jobs announced by Exxon Mobil, 10,000 new jobs at Kroger, 10,000 jobs at Walmart, 10,000 jobs by U.S. Steel and 50,000 by SoftBank Telecommunications.

Wednesday, March 29 (Day 69):

UN Secretary General recognizes Israel and Jerusalem

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has recognized Jerusalem and the Temple Mount and wowed to counter anti-Israel bias at the United Nations during a meeting with the World Jewish Congress (WJC) in New York last week.  Guterres said he would “act with impartiality” on matters relating to Israel, but said he could not prevent the United Nations Human Rights Council from passing anti-Israel resolutions.

California prosecutors press charges after new pro-life video released;

Former Planned Parenthood director releases new pro-life book

David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt have been charged by the office of State Attorney General Xavier Becerra because his office “will not tolerate the criminal recording of confidential conversations.  The right to privacy is a cornerstone of California’s constitution, and a right that is foundational in a free democratic society,” said Becerra.

The prosecution of Daleiden and Merritt follows a new video released by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) that reveals a formed Planned Parenthood abortionist allegedly performs elective abortions on healthy unborn babies up to 24 weeks of pregnancy.  The video highlights comments by Dr. DeShawn Taylor, a longtime abortion provider at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles and was previously a medical director at Planned Parenthood of Arizona.  The abortionist explains that she performs Dilation & Evacuation, also known as dismemberment abortions.  According to Daleiden, the footage shows the abortion doctor willing to sell baby parts for profit, use criminal abortion methods to get more intact body parts and cover up infanticide.

In a statement released on CMP’s website, Daleiden said:  “The bogus charges from Planned Parenthood’s political cronies are fake news. They tried the same collusion with corrupt officials in Houston, TX and failed: both the charges and the DA were thrown out. The public knows the real criminals are Planned Parenthood and their business partners like StemExpress and DV Biologics—currently being prosecuted in California—who have harvested and sold aborted baby body parts for profit for years in direct violation of state and federal law.”

Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood director and founder of  Then There Were None—a ministry assisting abortion workers to leave the industry has released a new book called “Unplanned.”  “These are real lives, real women, babies,” said Johnson.  “Some 2,000 babies are aborted each day in the world’s greatest human rights violation in history.”

Friday, March 31 (Day 71):

Obama official goes public on leaks; Devin Nunes continues investigation; White House official fired; Mainstream Media host attacks Trump, Clinton

Dr. Evelyn Farkas, former Department of Defense official under Barack Obama, went on MSNBC and suggested that her former colleagues tried to gather information on Trump team contacts with Russia.

“The Trump folks if they found out what we knew about the Trump staff with Russians,” said Dr. Farkas on MSNBC.  This would “compromise our sources and methods.  We would no longer have access to these sources and not enough (would) come out.”

“The Department of Justice needs to subpoena Dr. Farkas,” said Jay Sekulow, chief counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice in resonse to Farkas media interview with MSNBC.  Sekulow stated that Dr. Farkas is no longer in the U.S. government and has been out of office since 2015 and this means that she received her information illegally.  “She needs a lawyer.  She has admitted to surveillance, unmasking, urging people in the intelligence community to leak.  All these are crimes; each episode can receive five to six years in prison. It will take some convictions to put an end to it.”

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said Farkas comments and other reports raise “serious” concerns about whether there was an “organized and widespread effort by the Obama administration to use and leak highly sensitive intelligence information for political purposes.  Dr. Farkas’ admissions alone are devastating,” Spicer said.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions responded, “This is not right.  We’ve never seen this kind of leaking.   (These folks believe) they have a right to violate the law.  Leaking to friends on The Hill (Congress) is problematic.”

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) now knows who is responsible for “unmasking” or exposing the names of multiple private citizens affiliated with the Trump team.  News reports state that “unmasking” has been carried out “for political purposes that have nothing to do with national security or an investigation into Russian’s interference in the U.S. election.”

Nunes is coming under fire by Democrats for investigating the Obama administration for “classified leaks” against the Trump administration.  Nunes has known about the “unmasking controversy” since January when two sources from the intelligence community approached him.  However, Nunes has been  “stonewalled” by intelligence agencies who had refused to let him see intelligence reports which then led to his going to the old executive office building on White House grounds that has a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) required to view classified or top secret reports.  The White House did not tell Nunes of the reports but gave him access to see them.

According to Jay Sekulow, Rep. Adam Schiff on the House Intelligence Committee has been invited by the White House to see the intelligence reports shown Devin Nunes, but Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee do not want to view the documents for what they may find out.  “They are scared by Nunes” investigations.

“Unmasking is not unprecedented, but unmasking for political purposes … specifically of Trump transition team members … is highly suspect and questionable,” an intelligence source told Fox News. “Opposition by some in the intelligence agencies who were very connected to the Obama and Clinton teams was strong. After Trump was elected, they decided they were going to ruin his presidency by picking them off one by one.”

Meanwhile, former Deputy Chief of Staff Katie Walsh, an ally of Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, was removed from her position Thursday for leaking information out of the White House.

HBO’s “Real Time” host Bill Maher said “It looks like Donald Trump and his crime family were installed by Russia to loot and destroy America.”  Maher’s comments to Hillary Clinton:  “Stay in the woods.  Okay.  You had your shot…You’re Bill Buckner.”  Maher was responding to Clinton saying she was “ready to come out of the woods.”  Maher continued, “The fact that she is coming back, it just verifies every bad thing anyone’s every thought about the Clintons, that its all about them.”

(Editor’s Note: See Linda Tripp’s response to Hillary Clinton possibly running for President in 2020.  Tripp, served for three months just outside the Oval Office during the Clinton administration.  She then was asked to work for the White House Counsel’s office as executive assistant to White House Counsel Bernie Nussbaum:
