    The Ronald Reagan Student Leadership Program

    PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

    Cultivate leadership skills

    Participate in student driven activities geared towards helping you become the leader your community needs. Gain the skills needed to manage a project and set achievable goals.

    Alumni from this program have gone on to:

    • Create an anti-bullying club which has received local news media and grown into a larger campaign at other middle and high schools in the area
    • Earn hundreds of thousands of dollars in college scholarships

     

    Create connections

    Get to know students from across the country. Learn and grow together as you forge friendships and become part of the ReaganEDU network.

    Students a part of the ReaganEDU network have:

    • Raised over $3,800 for communities in Kenya
    • Been accepted to prestigious universities such as UCLA, USC, UC Berkeley, Stanford, Northwestern University, and University of Pennsylvania

    Work closely with top university students from across the nation, our team of educators, and leaders from the community. Collaborate and create a network of support to help you succeed as a leader.

    Develop a Leadership Action Plan

    Learn what it takes to create a service action project that you can implement in your community. Work to address an issue and leave a lasting positive impact for others around you.

    Alumni from this program have:

    • Received a grant for $1,000 to start a STEM program for girls
    • Organized showers for the homeless community
    • Raised over $1,000 for Girl Up, a United Nations organization that empowers women around the world

    PROGRAM DETAILS

    DAY CAMP

    We offer one-week day camp options aimed at increasing the civic engagement of student leaders. Participants of the program will broaden their leadership skills, make new friends, expand their network, and learn how to make an impact on their communities by creating a Leadership Action Plan. 

    LOCATION

    The program is held on-site at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley, CA. 93065. 

    SESSION DATES

    Day camp sessions run from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.

    Session 1: Monday, June 29 – Friday, July 3, 2020
    Session 2: Monday, July 6 – Friday, July 10, 2020
    Session 3: Monday, July 13 – Friday, July 17, 2020
    Session 6: Monday, August 10 – Friday, August 14, 2020

    COST

    Early registration pricing is from January 13 through February 15, 2020
    Day Camp: $575 (includes a $75 non-refundable deposit)

    Regular registration pricing is from February 16 through April 30, 2020
    Day Camp: $625 (includes a $125 non refundable deposit)

    RESIDENTIAL CAMP

    In addition to our popular day camps, we now offer one-week residential camp options. Students can maximize their Student Leadership Program experience through complete immersion and bonding experiences with fellow participants. Evening programs will include distinguished community speakers, networking and social events, and skills-based workshops.

    LOCATION

    The program is held both on-site at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley, CA. 93065 and at California Lutheran University, 60 W. Olsen Rd, Thousand Oaks, CA. 91360. Students will be housed in university dorms in dual occupancy. 

    SESSION DATES

    Residential camp sessions run from Sunday to Saturday. Students will be housed at California Lutheran University for the week.

    Session 4: Sunday, July 26 – Saturday, August 1, 2020
    Session 5: Sunday, August 2 – Saturday, August 8, 2020

    COST

    Early registration pricing is from January 13 through February 15, 2020
    Residential Camp: $1,800 (includes a $200 non-refundable deposit)

    Regular registration pricing is from February 16 through April 30, 2020
    Residential Camp: $1,950 (includes a $350 deposit)
