The Rotary Club of Camarillo seeks to improve the quality of life of people in the greater Camarillo area and the global community. The club raises funds through annual events like the Care for Kids Golf Classic, poinsettia sales and the Viva la Comida Community Dinner. Unfortunately, the dinner will not occur this year due to the Covid pandemic.
A substantial portion of the funds raised go to support Casa Pacifica. Other funds are given as scholarships and grants to a variety of charities, humanitarian projects and causes. Typical grants are for a specific purpose where $1,000 to $3,000 can make a difference. Grant applications are due by April 30.
The Camarillo Rotary Club continues to meet through the Covid pandemic on Zoom with speakers on a variety of economic and humanitarian topics. Grant application forms and information about joining Rotary can be found at www.camarillorotary.org.
