Thousand Oaks Gang Member Suspects Arrested

On May 8, 2018, Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call for service regarding several individuals walking in the area of the 800 block of Warwick Avenue who were yelling out derogatory gang terms in an attempt to incite a fight. At about the same time, a Sheriff’s patrol unit drove by the location, which caused the individuals to flee the area and prevent an assault from occurring.

Detectives with the Thousand Oaks Police Department’s Special Enforcement Unit conducted an investigation and identified the involved individuals as (S) Victor Lopez, (S) Jessica Macias and (S) Luke Macias. Detectives were able to determine Victor Lopez and Jessica Macias were documented Thousand Oaks gang members, and Luke Macias was a documented Santa Paula gang member. Furthermore, detectives determined Victor Lopez and Luke Macias were currently on supervised release from custody classified as “Post Release Community Supervision.”

On July 13, 2018, detectives with the Thousand Oaks Special Enforcement Unit and Directed Enforcement Unit located and arrested all three suspects at different locations in Ventura County. All three suspects were arrested for PC 186.22(a) – Street Terrorism and PC 415(1) — Disturbing the Peace by Offensive Language. All three suspects remain in custody with Victor Lopez’ bail set at $110,000, Jessica Macias’ bail set at $200,000 and Luke Macias’ bail set at $230,000.
