Thousand Oaks man busted for selling drugs in the city

store times;”>On 1/9/2015, thumb the Sheriff’s East County Narcotics Team concluded an investigation into James Walker, look who was selling methamphetamine to customers in the city of Thousand Oaks. Deputies with the Thousand Oaks Police Directed Enforcement Team assisted detectives by stopping Walker after he left his Thousand Oaks residence. Walker was with a female identified as Jennifer Yeates who was under the influence of a controlled substance. Walker was in possession of over two grams of methamphetamine. Both Walker and Yeates were arrested and transported to the East County Sheriff’s station.

Narcotics detectives served a search warrant at Walker’s residence where they detained another resident, Joseph Fratella. Fratella was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was arrested.

During the search of the residence, detectives located about six (6) ounces of methamphetamine in Walker’s vehicle. Several grams of methamphetamine and a small amount of concentrated marijuana commonly referred to as “Honey Oil” was found inside Walker’s bedroom. Detectives found over twenty (20) pounds of dried marijuana and the implements of a small marijuana extraction operation in various locations of the house. A small marijuana grow was found in the rear yard and several marijuana plants were eradicated.

Jeffrey Dupont, another resident arrived at the house during the search. Dupont was in possession of several grams of methamphetamine and also had two (2) active warrants for his arrest. Dupont was also arrested.

Walker was booked at the East County Sheriff Jail for possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of marijuana for sale, and manufacturing concentrated marijuana. Dupont was arrested and booked for possession of a controlled substance and the two (2) outstanding warrants. They are both scheduled to appear in court on 1/13/2015, at 1:30 PM. Walker’s Bail is set at $50,000 and Dupont’s bail is set at $40,250.

Fratella and Yeates were arrested and cited for being under the influence of a controlled substance. They are scheduled to appear in court on 2/5/2015.
