Thousand Oaks Police crack down on recent gang activity

cure times;”>On October 16, cialis 2014, a Thousand Oaks gang member, Jorge Lopez, was walking home on Windsor Drive when he was attacked by two rival Thousand Oaks gang members, Victor Lopez and Samuel Gonzalez. During the attack, the victim was struck with a brick.

On December 21, 2014, the Special Enforcement/Gang Unit arrested Victor Lopez for assault with a deadly weapon and gang enhancements for the attack on the victim. Victor Lopez was booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility where he is being held on $110,000 bail. Victor Lopez was scheduled to appear in court on December 22, 2014 at 1:30PM.

On December 22, 2014, the Special Enforcement/Gang Unit arrested Samuel Gonzalez for assault with a deadly weapon and gang enhancements for the attack on the victim, Jorge Lopez in October. Samuel Gonzalez was booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility where he is being held on $250,000 bail.  Gonzalez is scheduled to appear in court on December 23, 2014 @ 1:30PM. His bail is significantly higher because he has multiple arrests and is considered a Serious Habitual Offender.

During the first week of December 2014, the Special Enforcement/Gang Unit saw a significant increase in gang related graffiti in the 800 Block of Warwick Ave. and in the Conejo Creek Condominium complex, both rival gang areas.

On December 10, 2014, members of the Thousand Oaks Special Enforcement/Gang Unit were conducting a surveillance in the 800 block of Warwick Ave. Rival gang graffiti was located in the area. After a short time, two juvenile gang members were observed spray painting over the rival gang graffiti. These two juveniles were arrested and lodged into the Juvenile Justice Facility for conspiracy, felony vandalism and gang enhancements.

On December 18, 2014, at approximately 6:20 PM patrol deputies responded to a call of ten subjects fighting with bats and guns in the 800 block of Warwick Ave. The Special Enforcement/Gang Unit responded to the scene. At approximately 6:30 PM patrol deputies responded to the Conejo Creek Condominiums for another gang disturbance with a stabbing victim. The investigation revealed that both calls were related and the stabbing actually occurred in the 800 block of Warwick Ave. when rival gang members went to the 800 block of Warwick Ave. and a large gang fight ensued.

The investigation revealed that suspects Salvador Arroyo, Marco Gutierrez, Robert Dighero, Victor Lopez, and Samuel Gonzalez had driven to the 800 block of Warwick Ave. to confront rival gang members. During the fight Salvador Arroyo was stabbed. Marco Gutierrez was struck with a blunt object causing injury. Victim/Suspect Edgar Guzman, a rival gang member of Arroyo, Gutierrez, Dighero, Lopez and Gonzalez was struck multiple times with a blunt object. The investigation revealed that during the fight, suspect Brahin Valencia used a knife and stabbed Salvador Arroyo.

On December 22, 2014, the Special Enforcement/Gang Unit arrested Salvador Arroyo for conspiracy, assault with a deadly weapon, disturbing the peace by fighting, and gang enhancements. Salvador Arroyo was booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility with a bail of $250,000. Salvador Arroyo is scheduled to appear in court on December 24, 2014 at 1:30 PM.

On December 23, 2014, the Special Enforcement/Gang Unit arrested the following subjects for their involvement in the December 18, 2014 incident:

Suspect, Robert Dighero, was arrested for conspiracy, assault with a deadly weapon, disturbing the peace by fighting, and gang enhancements. Robert Dighero was booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility with a bail of $250,000. Robert Dighero is scheduled to appear in court on December 26, 2014 at 1:30 PM.

Suspect Brahin Valencia was arrested for attempt murder and gang enhancements. Brahin Valencia was booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility with a bail of $500,000. Brahin Valencia is scheduled to appear in court on December 26, 2014 at 1:30 PM.

A male juvenile suspect was arrested assault with a deadly weapon, being an accessory to a crime, disturbing the peace by fighting and gang enhancements. He was lodged into the Juvenile Justice Facility.

Victor Lopez and Samuel Gonzalez were also arrested for conspiracy, assault with a deadly weapon, disturbing the peace by fighting, and gang enhancements resulting from the December 18, 2014. Both Victor Lopez and Samuel Gonzalez were booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility with a bail of $250,000. Both are scheduled to appear in court on December 26, 2014.
