Tiffany Lopez for City Clerk Campaign Kickoff

Tiffany Lopez, a lifelong and fourth generation resident of the city of Oxnard, California held a campaign kickoff event for the office of Oxnard City Clerk on September 11, 2016. Tiffany, who is the daughter of former Oxnard city Mayor Dr. Manuel Lopez and community activist Irma Lopez, wants to strengthen the Oxnard community.

Her goals are to bring public access to timely and accurate municipal information to ensure transparency and to increase public involvement and engagement in our city’s residents and future voters.  She wants bring greater collaboration and communication among city advisory groups, (CAGs), such as the Inter Neighborhood Council Organization, (INCO).

As a member of the municipal clerk’s association Tiffany plans to apply her knowledge and networking experience to benefit Oxnard by creating a collaborative environment with all city departments and the public, and by adhering to California State Codes.

At the event, she said: As a businesswoman, “I bring practical experience in day-to-day operations, management, and building community partnerships. I also bring over 10 years of experience in nonprofit management, public relations and community outreach. I am currently a member of the Oxnard Chamber, Oxnard Voting Committee, Oxnard Kiwanis, Oxnard Downtowners, and the Oxnard Ambassadors”. In addition, Tiffany serves on Oxnard’s Community Relations Commission, a City Council-appointed group that serves to identify and advise the  Council on problems of discrimination in the community and to promote better human relations among all city residents.

Tiffany Lopez attended Villanova Preparatory School and holds a BA degree in Government with a minor in Cultural Anthropology from California State University, Sacramento. She is a graduate of the Ventura County Leadership Academy and Women’s Economic Ventures.

Lopez concluded with: “I am asking for your vote of confidence on November 8th, so that I may serve the City of Oxnard”.
