Tiny Home, Storage Ideas at Upcoming Conejo Valley Home Remodeling Show
sick arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;”>The upcoming Conejo Valley Home Remodeling Show provides two new ways to tackle clutter—downsize to a tiny home and throw all non-essentials always or store rarely used items safely on remote-controlled garage lifts. Both options will be on display at the 42nd Conejo Valley Home Remodeling Show, Saturday and Sunday, April 16 and 17, at the Hyatt Regency Westlake (880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village). The show features local contractors, landscapers, interior designers, solar installers and other home improvement professionals.
Tiny Heavenly Homes (www.TinyHeavenlyHomes.com) is bringing a 130 square foot tiny home to the show. “These homes are showing up on television programs and are popular with people that want to lead a simpler, more orderly life,” says Rick Goodman, home show organizer. “They can also be used for private space away from the main home—as an art studio, game room, home to aging parents or young adult kids, even as a second home in the mountains or by a lake. The options are endless.”
For those who would prefer to keep some of the clutter, but just want it better organized and easily assessable, AuxxLift (www.auxx-lift.com) based in Moorpark, may be the answer. These newly introduced wireless remote-controlled lifts are installed in garages and can hold up to 600 pounds apiece. “With an AuxxLift, there is no need to climb a wobbly ladder to try to reach items in overhead storage,” says Goodman. “Just push a button and the lift and its contents come to you.”
These and other unique home ideas will be on display at the show. Home show hours are Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Gourmet food trucks will be serving food on Saturday, April 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
