TO Police ask for Public’s help to identify suspect in attempted bank robbery
| On May 23, 2016, at about 1:30 PM, officers assigned to the Thousand Oaks Police Department responded to the Bank of America located at 1155 Lindero Canyon Road, Thousand Oaks for a robbery that had just occurred.
A male suspect entered the bank and approached a bank teller. The suspect handed the teller a note demanding cash. The teller refused the demand and the suspect quickly exited the bank. The suspect fled the location on foot. A search of the area was conducted, but the suspect was not located. The suspect was described as a white male approximately 5’6″ to 5’11” and between 140 and 160 pounds with a slender build. The suspect was wearing a dark color long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and a cream colored fedora style hat. The suspect also had a thick mustache and a long goatee. No persons were injured as a result of the robbery. The suspect is still outstanding if anyone has additional information they are encouraged to contact Detective Kelly Roark at (805) 494-8223.
