Transient arrested: Suspected of brush fire in Rincon Area

On 09/09/17, at about 1:33 p.m., Ventura County Fire requested the assists of the Sheriff’s Air Unit for a brush fire in the area of San Miguelito Road (Rincon Area). When Air Unit 6 arrived they saw a subject in the area of the brush fire. The subject was detained by Air Unit 6 and transported to Fire Station 25, where he was identified as  39 year old transient Torry Fischer.

Fischer was interviewed and admitted to starting the brush fire. Fischer was arrested and booked at the Ventura County Jail for PC 451(c) – Arson of a structure or forest.
