“I am honored, and humbled to have received the CLC’s endorsement and vote of confidence,” said Miguel Lopez who is challenging Oxnard Mayor Tim Flynn.

The Tri-Counties Central Labor Council advocates for the working families of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties, including Oxnard. Through community, workplace, and political organizing, the CLC works to ensure that working people have the fundamental right to representation in the workplace and the ability to democratically organize themselves to achieve the highest standards of living and personal fulfillment. Further, the CLC members believe these efforts are vital to maintaining ethical democratic principles and ensuring that the world is a better place for future generations.

“I have long maintained that the hard-working people of Oxnard deserve a champion.  I have always advocated and will continue to fight for the issues that matter to working people and their families, including good paying jobs,” Lopez added.

“Each election cycle, we meet with and interview every candidate running for office who seeks our support.  In the race for Oxnard Mayor, the leader who shares our values, who wants to create good jobs in the city of Oxnard and whose vision we support is Miguel Lopez,” said Jeremy Goldberg, Executive Director of the Tri-Counties Labor Council.

“We look forward to being a part of the spirited campaign in Oxnard, and doing our part to support Miguel’s campaign,” Goldberg added.
