Trump Campaign Projects Victory in Arizona

    BY IVAN PENTCHOUKOV

A senior Trump campaign advisor has projected a narrow victory for the president in Arizona, a state which some race-callers had handed to Biden in the early hours of Nov. 4.

“Thorough breakdown, we believe [the president’s] win margin in AZ will be closer to 30K votes, probably just under that,” Jason Miller wrote on Twitter. “Keep in mind we’re now counting Election Day voters.”

The Associated Press called Biden the winner in Arizona at 2:52 a.m.

Trump campaign advisory board member Jason Meister told The Epoch Times the campaign is watching several of the states Trump could win, but views Arizona as a clear-cut case.

“What happened is that they called Arizona too early. They said that 96 percent of the vote was in when it was really 86 percent and it was breaking for Trump 60-40,” Meister said. “So if you just do the pure math of the remaining votes, we think that Trump will win.”

The error in tabulating the total votes counted was due to a glitch in the Edison Research data feed, according to The New York Times.

Decision Desk HQ, a key election race caller, had not declared a winner in Arizona as of shortly before noon on Wednesday. Arizona was one of nine states in which a winner had not yet been formally declared by Decision Desk.

Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Maine, and Alaska were still undecided as of noon on Nov. 4.

Trump was in the lead in four states: Georgia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Alaska. Biden recaptured the lead in Wisconsin and Michigan with a surge of ballots that were counted in the early morning. The former vice president was also in the lead in Arizona and Nevada.

As of noon on Wednesday Trump was up 2.1 points in Georgia with more than 99 percent of the votes counted, up 9.2 points in Pennsylvania with more than 80 percent of the votes counted, and ahead by 1.4 points in North Carolina with more than 99 percent of the votes counted.

Biden held the similarly slim leads in Wisconsin, Michigan and Nevada.
