On a sunny Tuesday afternoon, a lone Trump supporter stood on the corner of Daily Drive and Los Posas Road in Camarillo waving a “Trump 2020” banner in one hand and a “Blue Lives Matter” flag in the other.
Although the supporter (who wished to remain anonymous) didn’t shout any slogans, there were plenty of loud responses from drivers and passengers in passing vehicles, both pro and con to his presence.
“From what I can tell, I’ve heard about 80% honks and shouts in support and about 20% negative “F-bombs”,” he stated.
Originally planning on staying on the corner for only one hour, he decided to stay longer due to the overwhelming support from the passersby. He was soon joined by a woman who was just driving by and felt the need to stop, park her car, take her American Flag from the backseat and join him…at a safe distance.
“My father served in World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam,” she said. “I’m just so angry by what’s been happened to our country, I felt I had to take the time to do something, even if it’s just standing on a corner with our flag.”
