2014. The Rotary Club (Sunrise) of Westlake Village sponsored the event. Rotary International is a service organization that promotes business, the work ethic, and charity. Proceeds will go toward supporting music programs at Westlake, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, and Agoura High Schools, and other local non-profit enterprises. Westlake Rotary supports: Conejo Free Clinic, Manna Food Bank, The Wheel Chair Foundation, Alzheimer’s Foundation, Junior Achievement, and many more local non-profits.

For a $55 dollar ticket, patrons had access to multiple booths representing local (including Malibu and Paso Robles) breweries, restaurants, wineries, artists, and other shops. They waited on long, yet fluid lines for samples of pizza from Fresh Brothers of Westlake, gourmet food from Paul Martin Restaurant of Westlake, beer from BJs, wine from Panaro Brothers Winery of Ventura, etc.

Veteran Bluesman Mighty Mo Rodgers and Jazz Bassist Alphonso Johnson collaborated on stage during the early hours. Johnson has played with jazz acts such as Weather Report and Billy Cobham. Headliner Ambrosia took the stage for the final hour. They’re a “mellow rock” group from the 1970’s/80’s era that incorporates progressive rock/jazz influences.

Barbara Grant, a spokesperson for Rotary in Westlake was pleased with the turnout: “We are thrilled with the Sold Out attendance we had.  The event is still only

in its 3rd year, but we had many more wine, beer and food exhibitors, and we more than doubled attendance, and quadrupled sponsorship support!  What’s most important is that proceeds will be available for our club to make generous donations to local high school music booster programs, as well as to a number of charities we offer on-going support to.  We’re so grateful to Ambrosia and all the musicians that performed, as well as to all the exhibitors and event sponsors, and to the community for embracing and enjoying the festival!”
