Two adults rescued from rock jetty when stranded by the incoming tide

On September 19th, 2015, 12:40,  Ventura City Fire personnel responded to investigate a report of two juveniles possibly in danger and in need of assistance getting off of the Ventura Harbor South Jetty in the 1800 block of Spinnaker Drive.

The first arriving units found two adult victims, one male and one female, who had become stranded on steep portions of the the rock jetty structure, in an effort to escape the impact of 3′ to 5′ surf and an incoming tide.

September 19th, 2015, 12:40 hoursThe two victims were successfully removed from the rock jetty, one by use of rope rescue equipment, and both were evaluated for injuries. Neither victim was transported by ambulance, no other reported injuries.
