Two hikers rescued yesterday off of PCH
From the Ventura County Fire Department:
On April 6, 2015, 12:40 p.m., units from the Ventura County Fire Department, Ventura County Air Unit and Oxnard Fire Department were dispatched to a report of 2 hikers stranded on a cliff. The two hikers had been trekking off of the trail and decided to climb back down to PCH at the site of a dry waterfall when they became stuck. The Urban Search and Rescue Unit was responded to handle the technical portion of the rescue from the top if necessary. In the end rescuers were able to reach the girls using Oxnard Fire Department’s ladder truck. There were no injuries.
