Local Kneady Bakery and Force Cult Podcast team up for a special episode about all things Star Wars

The niche, nerd-centric bakery Kneady Bakery and the hit STAR WARS themed podcast Force Cult have announced that they will produce a special collaborative episode of the Force Cult podcast. Force Cult is co-hosted by Ryan Baxter, Travis English, and Whitney Van Laningham, and Episode 29 will feature Kneady Bakery’s very own co-owner Kati Angelini. This podcast and all additional episodes of Force Cult are available by subscribing to the podcast on iTunes, or visiting www.ForceCult.com.

Kneady Bakery specializes in geek treats with names like “Chocolate Chip Wookies,” about which they claim “We make them Chewie. They tend to pair well with a glass of blue milk. These are the cookies you’re looking for.” Angelini adds: “One of our best sellers in the Dagobah system. Love them, you will. “

Their treats are inspired by many other nerdy classics, evident in their Game of Scones, Robert Brownie Juniors (made in an iron pan), and their summer treats: Lord VoldeS’Mores. Founded by Angelini and confectionery partner, Ashley Guerrero, the two are on high demand at many of Los Angeles’ most attended events. They recently participated in the LA Street Food Fest, Coachella and the style lounges for the Oscars, Emmys, Golden Globes, Grammys and Sundance. They also donate their baked treats to dozens of charities and fundraisers including Toys for Tots, Cancer Awareness, and the Entertainment Aids Alliance.

They do not make cakes or cupcakes, but instead specialize in gourmet dessert and brunch bars, custom gift baskets, and unique treats. Describing themselves as confectionary nerds, rebelling against your ordinary, everyday bakery, Guerrero and Angelini personally oversee the baking of each product, with mostly organic ingredients and recycled and green packaging materials. Gluten free and vegan items are also on the menu. And you can find their gift boxes on the desks of Hollywood’s hardest working execs and creatives.
