BROWNLEY TO HOST CONGRESS ON YOUR CORNER EVENTS
IN OXNARD AND VENTURA

THOUSAND OAKS, CA—This week, Congresswoman Julia Brownley (D-Westlake Village) will launch a series of Congress on Your Corner events to meet with constituents in the cities of Oxnard and Ventura.

At each Congress on Your Corner event, Congresswoman Brownley will be available to meet with residents and discuss their concerns. Congress on your Corner provides a more convenient way for Ventura County residents to also get assistance with a federal agency and share their issues and concerns with the Congresswoman.

The following are Brownley’s scheduled Congress on Your Corner events for this week:

Thursday, August 22:

Oxnard Farmers Market—Plaza Park:  Brownley will host a Congress on Your Corner event to meet with Oxnard residents to discuss happenings in Congress and in the community, as well as to provide assistance to those having trouble with a federal agency.

TIME:             10:30 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.

Saturday, August 24:

Ventura Farmers Market:  Brownley will host a Congress on Your Corner event to meet with Ventura residents to discuss happenings in Congress and in the community, as well as to provide assistance to those having trouble with a federal agency.

TIME:             10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.

PLACE:           Ventura Farmers Market

Editor’s note: Evidently Rep. Brownley has more guts than other Reps., since none we’re aware of are holding open meetings with clients during Congressional recess.   But, not even she has scheduled a townhall meeting. On the other hand, this format does not lend itself to group discussion or video recording.
