Meet us at Oxnard’s Heritage Square Visitor Center at 12:45 where a docent will take us on a walking tour of these vintage homes built between 1876 and 1912.   Appreciate what past craftsmen were able to envision and achieve.  FREE only with reservations through the library.  Call Karen at (805) 240-7344

Film Screening about Female African American Mathematicians  – (rated PG) –  Thursday, July 27 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

View a feature film dramatization of the story of the real life gifted but unappreciated African American female mathematicians who played a vital role in our space program.  Free.

Author Book Talk and Signing – Saturday, July 29 at 3:00 p.m.

Local author and pastor Dr. David Moore will discuss and sign his book “Making America Great Again.”  The book exhorts us to be bridge builders, not wall builders.

Create a Vision Board – Thursday, August 10, 2017, at 1:00 p.m.

Select one or more goals you’ve been wanting to accomplish.  You will cut out and create a collage of pictures to take home and look at daily as a visual reinforcement of what you want to achieve.  All materials will be provided.

Mystery Author David Keith – Saturday, August 12, at 3:00 p.m.

Celebrate the creative process of writing.  After retiring as a spokesperson for the Oxnard Police Department, David started a completely new phase of life writing mysteries.  He will talk about the process of conceiving, writing, and publishing his books.  His second one will be featured and available for purchase.
