    Vagrant arrested – Suspected of Commercial Burglary

    Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release

    On June 18th at 5:33 AM officers responded to a commercial burglary in the 2500 block of Grand Avenue, Ventura, that had just occurred. The suspect broke out a front window to a business, took property, and fled. Responding officers found the suspect in the area, and when they attempted to stop him, he ran away.

    After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect, Rene Garcia 12-11-83, vagrant, surrendered and was detained. At the conclusion of the investigation, the suspect was arrested for Commercial Burglary (felony) and Resisting Arrest (misdemeanor).

    No one was injured during this incident.
