Vehicle Burglary Suspect Arrested in El Rio

On 1-17-18, Sheriff’s deputies took a report of a vehicle burglary that occurred in the parking lot behind Montezuma’s Restaurant located in the community of El Rio. The victim reported that the window to the vehicle was broken and tools were stolen from inside. During the investigation, Sheriff’s deputies obtained video evidence that captured the crime taking place. Further investigation was completed and the suspect was identified as Henry Salgado.

On 1-23-18, Headquarters Station Detectives went to Salgado’s home address and made contact with him. While at the residence, detectives observed Salgado’s vehicle, used during the vehicle burglary, parked in the driveway.  Stolen property from the vehicle burglary was located inside the vehicle. Salgado was arrested for Vehicle Burglary. During the arrest Salgado resisted and was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest. Salgado was transported and booked into the Ventura County Main Jail.
