Vehicle Collision NB 101 Freeway at E. Main

Units of the Ventura Fire Department responded to a reported vehicle off the roadway into a tree with fire and person trapped on April 16th at 11:04PM.

First arriving units discovered a single vehicle on fire with extension of the fire into the surrounding vegetation. The fire in the heavily damaged vehicle was quickly knocked down and the vehicle was checked for occupants with none being found. Crews continued to completely extinguish the fire. The driver was located by Ventura Police in the neighborhood below the freeway. He was assessed by Paramedics and transported to a local emergency department.

There were no injuries to personnel reported as a result of this incident.
