Ventura Police Department – Incident Press ReleaseOn July 16 at 9:05 the Ventura Police Department Command Center received a 911 call from an employee of Chevron gas station at 7700 Telegraph rd., reporting a robbery had just occurred. The suspects was last seen fleeing from the business on foot eastbound on Telegraph Rd from the business. During the investigation officers learned the suspects entered the business, approached the lone clerk and demanded money from the registered. Suspect #1 was armed with a black handgun. Suspect #2 was armed with a large machete. The clerk complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects then fled from the business on foot.

Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the suspects. The clerk was not injured as a result of this crime.
