Ventura: Arrests for possession for sales, Addict in possession of firearms

On May 3rd at 7am, Ventura Police Department Street Crimes Unit Detectives concluded an investigation into the sales of methamphetamine by a suspect identified as Paul Jenkins in the 1700 block of Arundell Ave.

This morning VPD detectives along with VPD K-9 and patrol officers served a search warrant at Jenkins’ storage yard where he and his wife, Nicole Jenkins, had been living. Jenkins, his wife, and a third male subject were detained in the yard as detectives made entry through a locked gate.

During a search of several large storage containers, vehicle, and other makeshift living quarters detectives located over a quarter pound of methamphetamine, a small amount of cocaine, and numerous prescription medications.

Approximately $4,000.00 in cash, a loaded “Mac-10” style firearm with attached 30-round magazine, and a shotgun were also located and seized by detectives.

Other items of evidence were found indicating that both Jenkins and his wife were actively involved in the sales of methamphetamine.

Both were arrested and later transported to the Ventura County Main Jail where they were booked on felony possession for sales and conspiracy. Paul Jenkins who has a documented history of narcotic related arrests was also charged with being identified as a narcotic addict in possession of a firearm, a felony.

The third male detained was released from the scene on a misdemeanor citation for possession of narcotic paraphernalia.
