Ventura: Attempted theft of mountain bike thwarted
buy cialis arial, pill sans-serif;”>On November 22, stomach 2015 at 2:09 AM officers from the Ventura Police Department were summoned by a passerby at the corner of Santa Clara St and Chestnut St. The passerby heard a female screaming nearby and saw a Hispanic male wearing a black tank top, blue jeans, and a black hat running eastbound on Santa Clara Street away from the area. Patrol officers contacted the female subject, Monica Meyers. Further investigation revealed the following:
The suspect approached the victim, 52 year old Monica Myers, who was standing on the sidewalk on Chestnut St north of Santa Clara St. The suspect grabbed Myers’ mountain bike and attempted to steal the bicycle. Myers held on to her bike and the suspect continued pulling the bike away from Myers. Myers was dragged to the ground and, fearing for her safety, started yelling for help. The suspect continued to drag her while she was holding the bike. The suspect eventually released his hold of the bike and fled southbound Chestnut St to Santa Clara St.
Patrol officers responded to the area and quickly located the suspect nearby, on Santa Clara St. The suspect was identified as 31 year old Jason Miller, a Ventura Resident. Miller was also in possession of a controlled substance at the time of his arrest. Jason Miller was arrested and transported to Ventura County Jail where he was booked for 664/211 PC (Attempted Robbery) and 11377 H&S (Possession of a Controlled Substance).
