    Make a difference in the lives of these endangered birds!

    Attend a free 4-hr training session*, choose one:

    *  all sessions run from 9am-1pm

    WE will teach you about the western snowy plover and California least tern in Ventura County:

    • Where & when these birds nest on Ventura County beaches
    • Federal and State Endangered Species Act Status and what that means
    • Life history: migration, mating, feeding, nesting, chick rearing
    • How to conduct public outreach and help protect these birds

    YOU come to the beach and teach others

    We request trained docents commit to regular weekly 2-hour beach visits during nesting season Your choice of Ormond of Hollywood Beach where these birds nest
