    Ventura, CA | Free Online Seminar On Oct. 21 Examines The Ongoing Opioid Epidemic And Treatment Options

    (Ventura, California) The coronavirus pandemic is not our nation’s only current public health crisis. The country’s opioid addiction epidemic is another ongoing healthcare challenge that continues to affect thousands of Americans.                     

    Community Memorial Health System recognizes that addiction is a treatable, chronic medical disease that impacts all facets of a person’s life and the lives of those closest to them. To help educate the community, CMHS is hosting a free online seminar at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21 about opioid use disorder and treatment options. This event is hosted by CMHS as part of its 2021 Speaker Series Online and will include a live question-and-answer session.

    Dr. Christopher Kerrigan, who is board certified in addiction medicine, will explain opioid use disorder, outline treatment options, and answers questions about this forgotten epidemic. Dr. Kerrigan is an expert in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of people struggling with substance use disorder.
